DAVID JANSEN TRADITIONS
February 7th - 11th 2007 saw 41 of us cram our brains with the education system that David Jansen bestowed upon us. He has a wealth of knowledge he is so willing to share with others.
He is extremely proud of the new resin based Traditions line of paints and mediums he is introducing to the painting public.
We have been left with the huge task of completing all 30 lessons - all of which include a painted piece -contained in Modules A, B and C. He will be back October 4th - 11th this year with Module D.........
We were rewarded for our efforts with the title of Traditions Teacher at the completion of the seminar!
I have finally finished painting ALL of the lessons in Modules A B and C....... now i can go and do Module D with a clear conscience!
Module D was fantastic and we learned sooo much from David - the man is a fountain of information. Kathy and i figure he must be 95 years old at least to have done so much anda learned so much in his less than 50 years!!
The 5 day techniques sampler days were great. Most of the people attending were able to complete a new technique every single day. We did Flemish, Dutch Florals, Chippendale, Rosemaling and watercolour. Jam packed 5 days and very exhausting and yet very exhilarating!! Well worth every hard earned cent we paid to attend.
Kathy and i awarded David his "honarary Aussie Big Brush" and to Martha, a "little bristles" apron. We trust that they are spreading the word of their adventures down under with the other "aussie big brushes".
